That’s the message that the administration and faculty at Uintah Basin Technical College are affirming as they accept the 2030 vision of UBTech President Aaron K. Weight to substantially increase the number of certificates awarded by the college. Labrum Pump Repair’s contributions fund a new scholarship for first-generation students. Labrum Pump Repair is a long-standing Uintah Basin business specializing in chemical injection systems for the oil and gas industry.  It is owned and operated by Ted Labrum, whose family has called the Uintah Basin home for five generations. UBTech sets a record at national SkillsUSA contest  By Stephanie Carter Uintah Basin Technical College students continue to be innovative examples of perseverance, participating in the first-ever virtual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Competition. UBTech had a final medal count of 18 from the Utah SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills competition. UBTech students brought home nine gold medals, seven silvers, and two bronze.
