Ovintiv Donates $20,000 to UBTech
Ovintiv, a leader in the Uintah Basin’s oil and gas industry, continues supporting local communities and fostering education by donating $20,000 to Uintah Basin Technical College. This donation will provide valuable scholarships to aspiring students pursuing technical education.
By joining forces with UBTech, Ovintiv aims to bridge the gap between industry demands and the availability of qualified professionals. This initiative not only demonstrates the company’s commitment to nurturing talent, but also strengthens the local workforce.
“Strengthening the communities we call home is part of our social commitment,” said Senior Superintendent Don Bromley. “We want to ensure we are making positive impacts for the future, and helping students gain access to training and education is an example of that commitment.”
Many students face financial barriers to pursuing higher education, and scholarships can make a significant difference in their ability to achieve their goals.
“We are grateful for the generous support from Ovintiv,” said UBTech President Aaron Weight. “This donation will positively impact the lives of our students and it is a great example of what can be achieved when organizations work together to support education and create opportunities for students.”
The scholarship donation will be available to any student seeking a college certificate at UBTech. To apply for the Ovintiv scholarship, start the enrollment process today by calling a Student Success Officer at 435.722.6900 or visit www.ubtech.edu.
