UBTech’s Workforce Promise
Uintah Basin Technical College’s Workforce Promise aims to provide students with soft skills training that aligns with employer expectations. Through eight career readiness badges, students will develop the skills necessary to succeed in any career.
Our Promise to Students
Our Promise to Employers
UBTech’s Workforce Promise prepares students with soft skills training to meet the expectations of the job field they are entering after certificate completion. Students will receive an award certifying their completion of these eight career readiness skills, enhancing their job applications and resumes. Additionally, students will create both digital and hard-copy portfolios showcasing their development through the Workforce Promise.
Students who complete the Workforce Promise will receive priority interviewing opportunities from an employer partner within their respective field.
Employers partnering with UBTech gain direct access to a talent pipeline of skilled students. These partnerships include opportunities to conduct interviews, present in classes, participate in hiring fairs, and engage with students in various capacities.
Employers commit to providing priority interviews for UBTech students who have completed the Workforce Promise. Moreover, employers hiring UBTech graduates can recommend these employees return to UBTech for additional soft skills training at no extra cost for one year after hiring.
