UBTech Community Surpasses 1776 Service Hour Goal Earlier this year, UBTech President, Aaron Weight invited the Uintah Basin community to celebrate America’s upcoming 250th birthday by completing 1,776 hours of service before July 4, 2026. Today, the community has exceeded the goal, submitting nearly 1,900 hours of service through the UBTech.edu website. The challenge, launched in March, was inspired by the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and encouraged people of all ages to serve others without expectation of compensation.
