Brady Trucking’s Generous Gift Accelerates CDL Training at UBTech

Brady Trucking has been a cornerstone of the Uintah Basin since 1995, growing from two trucks owned by Larry Brady and his father, Lloyd, to a fleet of 140 trucks and 150 employees today. Known for its commitment to safety and excellence, Brady Trucking operates terminals in Vernal, Utah, and Normal, Illinois, hauling liquids, plastics, and food-grade materials across the United States.

When leaders from Brady Trucking met with UBTech to discuss workforce needs, the conversation turned to the college’s CDL program. With a waitlist stretching into March 2026, UBTech shared its need for an additional truck to train more drivers. Larry Brady’s response was immediate and heartfelt: “Do they need two?”

Brady Trucking didn’t just donate two 2020 Peterbilt trucks—they ensured the vehicles were in prime condition, complete with new tires and mechanical repairs. The gift, valued at over $100,000, reflects Brady Trucking’s deep commitment to supporting education and strengthening the local workforce.

Larry, who still drives today, shared advice for CDL students: “Pay attention, listen to your instructor, and be extra careful.” He emphasized the importance of proper maintenance and safety—values that have defined Brady Trucking for decades.

UBTech President Aaron Weight expressed gratitude for this extraordinary contribution, stating that Brady Trucking’s generosity will have a lasting impact on students and the community. Their gift helps UBTech train more drivers, faster, and opens doors for individuals seeking a rewarding career in transportation.

This donation is more than equipment—it’s an investment in people, opportunity, and the future of the Uintah Basin.
