A Safe Campus Empowers Titan Success
At UBTech we are devoted to keeping our students, faculty, and staff safe through prevention, preparedness, response, and ongoing support.
We start by spotting potential hazards early—whether it’s a lab safety issue, a weather alert, or a mental‑health concern—and taking steps to prevent them from becoming problems.
When emergencies arise, our campus‑wide preparedness equips everyone with clear guidelines, drills, and resources so they know exactly what to do. If a crisis does occur, a rapid‑response team springs into action, providing immediate assistance, coordinating shelter or evacuation, and communicating updates transparently. Afterward, UBTech offers continued care—counseling, recovery resources, and follow‑up check‑ins—to help the community heal and return to normal life.
Titans help Titans, and through every stage, we aim to protect, support, and serve our campus with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.

Firearm Policy
Utah lawmakers updated state law governing concealed weapons during the 2025 General Session. Under the changes, individuals who are 18 years or older and have a current Utah concealed weapon permit (CWP) may carry a weapon on campus, including in an “open” fashion.
Utah has been an open or “constitutional carry” state since 2021. Prior to the change, those who wanted to carry a firearm on campus were required to keep it concealed. The law makes it clear that Utahns 18 years or older, who have a concealed weapon permit, may carry a firearm concealed or openly on campus. UBTech Security will confirm that those carrying openly on campus have a concealed weapon permit.
Hazing
Hazing includes any action that endangers a student’s physical health, mental well-being, safety, academic standing, or dignity as a condition of membership or participation in a group or activity.
If you suspect that you have been the victim of hazing, even if you’re unsure, report it below. UBTech will help review the concern without judgement.
